The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale will be accepting applications this year from applicants hoping to matriculate into the doctoral program in Fall 2021. Although some departments at Yale have decided to not admit new students this coming year, EALL does intend to admit new students based on their applications. However, as is always the case, not all faculty members in EALL will be necessarily accepting new students in each application cycle. If they have a specific faculty member they wish to study under, prospective applicants should confirm with that faculty member whether they intend to take in new students in AY 2021-2022.
