Emily Jin

Emily Xueni Jin is a Ph.D. candidate in East Asian Languages and Literature. Her research examines how literature, media, and public discourse narrate scientific and technological transformation in modern and contemporary Chinese contexts, with particular attention to internet fiction, digital communities, and AI-driven creativity. 

 

She received her B.A. in Comparative Literature and Psychology from Wellesley College before joining Yale. She is also an award-winning translator of science fiction between Chinese and English. In her spare time, she sails and plays tennis.
