Joonyoung Lee

Joonyoung is a Ph.D. student in the combined program of East Asian Languages and Literatures and Film and Media Studies. He received his M.A. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania (2024) and B.A. from the University of Tokyo (2022). His areas of interest include contemporary East Asian cinema and literature, trauma and disaster cinema, and the philosophy of spectatorship.
