Lillian McIntyre

Lillian McIntyre is a first-year PhD student in East Asian Languages and Literatures. Her research focuses on the interplay between video games and literary studies, using queer theory to think through representations and mediations of desire in digital contexts.

Lillian completed a BA in Japanese and BFA in Painting at the University of Hawaii at Manoa before proceeding to the MA in Japanese Literature. Prior to coming to Yale, she completed the 10-month program at the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies in Yokohama, Japan.
